Annual Open Enrollment
The Window to Switch Your Medicare Plan
The Annual Open Enrollment Period is the window of time in which people who already have Medicare can switch their plans. For example, if you have a prescription drug plan and would like to switch to a different plan, or drop part of your coverage, this is the time to do that.
If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you can choose to switch to another Advantage Plan, or switch back to Original Medicare. If you have Original Medicare, you can choose to enroll in a Part D plan, or enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
This period runs from October 15th to December 7th.
