Medicare Supplement Plan Comparison

Coverage

Medicare Supplement Insurance — also called Medigap — are plans sold by private carriers that help cover costs that Original Medicare doesn’t. While Medigap policies can be sold by any private insurer, they must follow a plan template set by state and federal governments. Each template offers slightly different coverage for a different monthly premium.

When Original Medicare doesn’t cover things in full, Medicare supplement plans step in to cover the additional cost. Our guide shows how much of the cost is covered by each template.
