Medicare Supplement Plans

Medicare Supplement Plan List

Original Medicare doesn’t pay 100% of all costs. Over time, those uncovered costs can add up. Medicare Supplement Plans, also called Medigap policies, are plans offered by private insurers to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses associated with Original Medicare.

While these plans are offered by many different insurance companies, they all have to follow the same federal regulations. Medigap policies are based on 10 basic templates. All insurers can offer plans based on these templates. The plan types are:

  • Plan A
  • Plan B
  • Plan C
  • Plan D
  • Plan F
  • Plan F with High Deductible
  • Plan G
  • Plan G with High Deductible
  • Plan K
  • Plan L
  • Plan M
  • Plan N

Some states, including Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, have different plan templates. Check with insurance brokers in your specific state.

Look at each plan type to explore its coverage options. As always, you can contact us at Modern Senior Benefits to learn more about Medigap policies.
