Medigap Plan F
Comparing Original Medicare to Medigap Plan F
While Medicare covers a majority of healthcare costs, it still doesn’t cover everything. That’s where Medicare Supplement Plans come in. Medicare Supplement Plans, also called Medigap policies, are plans offered by private insurers to cover out-of-pocket expenses. There are ten different templates that each plan is modeled on. Medigap Plan F is the fifth template.
Plan F is also special because it has a High-Deductible option, covered separately. Unfortunately, Plan F is no longer being offered to people who are newly eligible for Medicare as of January 1, 2020. However, if you were eligible for Medicare prior to 2020, read on to learn more about Medigap Plan F.
